Getting started as a supplier

Last updated: August 2026 · 4-min read

Welcome to Yellowpay. This guide walks you through your first login and your first payment request. Most suppliers complete both in under ten minutes.

If you'd rather watch than read, the videos below cover the same steps.

Your first login

VIDEO Your first login
  1. Open your invitation email. When your account is approved, you'll receive an invitation from Yellowpay with a link to activate your account. The link is personal to your company — don't forward it.
  2. Set your password. Follow the link and create a password for your account.
  3. Confirm your company details. Check that your legal company name, address, and contact details are correct. These appear on payment requests your buyers see, so it's worth thirty seconds to verify.
  4. Check your payout account. The bank account you gave us during onboarding is already on file. Confirm it's the one you want funds sent to — this is where we send payment, within 2 business days of a funded invoice.

That's it. Your dashboard is ready, and you can send your first payment request right away.

Your first payment request

VIDEO Your first payment request

A payment request is how you offer terms to a buyer and get paid upfront. Here's the full cycle:

  1. Create the payment request. Once the buyer has an approved limit, upload the invoice, enter the amount, and select the payment terms you've agreed with your buyer.
  2. Your buyer accepts. The buyer receives an email with the payment request, follows the link into their dashboard, reviews the terms, and accepts.
  3. You get paid. We fund the whole invoice within 2 business days of the buyer's acceptance — one flat rate, no partial advances. Non-recourse — if the buyer pays late or doesn't pay, that's our problem, not yours.
  4. The buyer pays Yellowpay. Your buyer settles with us at the end of the agreed terms. You're already paid and onto the next order.

Common first-week questions

Do I need to do anything when the buyer's terms come due?

No. Collection is entirely between Yellowpay and your buyer. Your relationship with them stays a sales relationship.

Can I offer different terms to different buyers?

Yes. Terms are set per payment request, so you can offer NET-30 to one buyer and NET-60 to another.

What if my buyer isn't approved for a credit limit?

You'll see the outcome in your dashboard. If a buyer isn't approved, reach out to us — sometimes additional financial information from the buyer changes the picture.
